'Hawaii Five-0' Season 7 Spoilers: Catherine Rollins Returns To Next Season, Reunites With McGarrett?
"Hawaii Five-0" season 6 did not end on a cliffhanger, but this does not make fans of the series any less excited for its 7th season.
The two-hour season finale was divided into two parts. The first one saw the team pinioned by Shioma's militia and unable to bring the critically injured Gabriel to the hospital in time. The wounded brother-in-law of Chin Ho took a different path and survived his injuries, making him the only living relative of Gabriel's young daughter.
The second leg of the final episode saw Danno doing everything in his power for Steve, even if that means giving up half of his liver to extend his life.
According to reports, the death of Gabriel and the near-death experience of McGarrett will have a tremendous effect on the team in season 7, particularly McGarrett's outlook in life.
In a statement, showrunner Peter M. Lenkov revealed that the events in the season 6 finale will cause McGarrett to be more contemplative and aware of his mortality in season 7.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Catherine Rollins will return next season. A significant person from McGarrett's past, Rollins was last season in season 5 when she left just when McGarrett was about to propose to her. According to Lenkov, he considered bringing Rollins' character back for the season 6 finale but changed his mind.
However, fans of the McGarrett-Rollins couple hope that a reconciliation between the ex-flames will happen in season 7.
"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 will be all about legacy. Spoilers for the season suggest that Chin will decide if he will be a father to Gabriel's daughter, and that Kono will finally reunite with Adam.
"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 series is expected to return to CBS in fall.
