Alicia will join the search for the chess piece serial killer in "Hawaii Five-0" season 7, episode 3.

Titled "He Moho Hou," the upcoming episode of the American police procedural drama follows FBI profiler Alicia as she tries to track down the chess piece killer. After discovering a dead body on her bed, she is left with no other choice but to team up with McGarrett and the rest of the team in tracking down and capturing the chess piece killer. Kono also reunites with her former surfing competitor, who is now a disabled and homeless war veteran.

In the promo trailer for the episode, a new victim lands on the ground from a 10-story building. The video also shows McGarrett seemingly concerned with one of the members of the team who is operating solo. It also reveals that the case hugely depends on what is found inside a black bag.

Executive producer Peter M. Lenkov revealed in his interview with Entertainment Weekly that the current season will explore the backgrounds of the show's characters.

"You're going to see McGarrett and his mom's relationship when he was a little boy. Despite the fact that everybody thinks that this is the world's worst mom, she was a good mother, and he has to be reminded of that--actually that's one of the things that Catherine reminds him. 'At some point before she was the person who abandoned you, she was your mother,'" he said.
