Harry Potter 'Diagon Alley' Officially Opens: Gringotts and Broomsticks, What To Expect

The highly anticipated Harry Potter Diagon Alley is now officially open at Universal Studios, Florida. Harry Potter fans can now experience first hand some of the Wizarding World they've read about in the books and seen in the film series.

The Diagon Alley was officially opened to the public last July 8, 2014. Shops, restaurants and many more establishments featured in the Harry Potter film were brought to life which can now be experienced and indulged by anyone.

An exciting feature sure to attract many is the Gringotts Bank ride. According to Universal Studio's official site, universalorlando.com, it features, "This new, multidimensional 3D thrill ride puts you right in the middle of the action as you face the bank's stringent security measures while navigating the perilous underground vaults." The site explained.

According to the site, as you enter the bank, there will be a fire-breathing dragon outside to welcome you, and the visitors will see the goblins who are busy working hard just like in the films.

The alley is one of the most exciting sites to see as almost everyone and everything in the popular Harry Potter universe. A tourist can now enter where the young Potter first bought his wand at Olivanders. For those who loved the Weasleys' like Ron and his two twin brothers, a shop just for that is also available to pick up their famous magical and goofy items. Even gaming gears for the well-known Quidditch game can be bought at the Quality Quidditch Supplies store.

It looks and sounds fun, but it will surely be a tiring experience as visitors have so much to explore. That's why there's also the famous Leaky Cauldron and other eating establishments to dine in. Traditional British meals will be served as well as some sweet treats.

Another exciting feature is an access to platform 9 ¾, the famous train platform where wizards board trains bound for Hogwarts. Guests can tour all around London and Hogsmeade via the Hogwarts Express.

Tourists can buy their tickets online, the studio provides different access types like "A Park-to-Park" admission ticket or an "Annual Pass" that provides access to both theme parks each day plus access to the HogwartsTM Express.
