‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Release Date, New Cast, Spoilers Latest: Which Cast Members Are Leaving and Staying?

'Hannibal' is set to return sometime next year and fans are eagerly awaiting news on what to expect for the third season. So far, they're waiting for details about the official release date, cast members that will or will not return, and the new faces that will be making their 'Hannibal' debuts.

For the cast that will be joining Season 3, it was recently found out that the role of Inspector Pazzi will be going to Italian actor Fortunato Cerlino. The casting was confirmed by the actor himself who tweeted in Italian, "I will be there" with a picture of a script for 'Hannibal' Season 3 premiere episode entitled "Antipasto."

Cerlino also tweeted pictures of himself with 'Hannibal' cast members Lawrence Fishburne and Mads Mikkelsen.

As for the cast, Mikkelsen and Fishburne will be returning, as well as Hugh Dancy, Caroline Dhavernas, Gillian Anderson, Raul Esparza and more. New faces that will be joining include Cerlino, Tao Okamoto, Dwight Ireland and Jeremy Crutchley.

Among the returning cast, Gillain Anderson will reportedly be returning as a series regular, according to Kpop Starz.

As for the plot, it has been reported that Season 3 will take on Thomas Harris' novels, specifically 'Hannibal', 'Hannibal Rising' and 'Red Dragon', but with a twist, according to Fashion & Style.

There will be an eight-month gap between season two and three. The first half will feature Will teaming up with Inspector Pazzi in his hunt for Hannibal, who is in Italy with Bedelia, his "wife." The second half will feature Francis Dolarhyde, a killer who attacks families during the full moon.

There has been no official release date set for 'Hannibal' Season 3, though reports say that showrunner Bryan Fuller hinted at a possible April of May release next year, according to Fashion & Style. However, with another NBC show, 'Constantine', being cut down in episodes, there is a chance that 'Hannibal' could air earlier around February or March.
