NBC's 'Hannibal' TV series seems to be gearing up quite well with their season three return which has some promising guest stars on the cast.

Actor Zachary Quinto has been confirmed to appear in the crime drama series and is said to star in at least one episode. He'll play an assistant to Bedelia, who's Hannibal's psychiatrist.

"Details are unknown. Because we've only heard about that one mystery patient who previously attacked Bedelia as a part of Hannibal's manipulation. If Quinto is playing this role, then we could be getting a flashback," writes IGN.

Just from his role alone it doesn't sound like he'll last too long in the show, but its a good shot for the actor to get back into some of his darker roles.

Quinto has done some great work on the show 'Heroes', 'American Horror Story', and more recently he's been preparing to reprise his role as Spock in 'Star Trek 3'.

His short appearance may be because of time constraints, as he's also starring in another NBC show currently, 'The Slap'.

'Hannibal' is slated to return to NBC this summer.
