'Halo Wars 2' Release Date New: Game Title Set To Arrive In 2017?
Along with the extension of 343 Industries' "Halo Wars 2," it is revealed that the game is set to be released next year.
Microsoft Studios is set to release "Halo Wars 2" in 2017, instead of fall this year, Christian Times has learned. As per the publication, the upcoming game is set to come with an improved iteration of the game in a Definite Edition, along with all the downloadable content released for the title.
The studio also released the latest "Halo Wars 2" trailer at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 event. It sees a devastated and burning battle field, which is followed by the entry of some soldiers who are set to fight. Succeeding sequences follow in a slow-motion fashion and it shows gun fires, explosions, and some robots that batter the soldiers.
The trailer further reveals soldiers riding on battle vehicles, as well as the foes' robotic frigate, which launches missiles on the targets. The leaders of both parties ae also seen walking toward each other, along with their followers in an alternating regular and slow-motion approach.
Overall, the E3 trailer gives conviction to the game title, which features two opposing factions.
According to Game Revolution, "Halo Wars 2" is designed to satisfy both the hardcore crowd and the franchise fans with its game elements. As per the publication, this can be achieved by enabling control schemes for the mouse or keyboard and the Xbox One controllers. In addition, Microsoft reportedly announced a feature called Play Anywhere, which lets gamers play the title regardless of location.
Meanwhile, Microsoft commended the "Halo Wars 2" open beta at the E3 2016 and it has been extended, as per The Bit Bag. As cited by the publication, the developer confirmed that the beta had been stretched for 48 hours and is set to end on June 22.
