In line with 343 Industries' forthcoming "Halo Wars 2," it is revealed that its new stats surpassed the developers' expectations. Also, new details on its game play have surfaced.

Microsoft has released some stats about "Halo Wars 2," following the title's beta extension on June 22, IGN has learned. As cited by the publication, the studio revealed in a press release that more than one million matches of the RTS title had been played and more than 1.2 million hours of total game time was also accounted.

Based from the aforementioned statistics, it is further revealed that the feedback obtained from the players, along with the information secured from the beta period, will have a pivotal role in the development of the title.

While the beta statistics are fragile for the improvement of "Halo Wars 2," new details have been revealed on the title's game play. According to Christian Post, the rest of the game is yet to be faithful with its predecessor, but players have to acquire resources in order to construct new units.

As per the publication, gamers also have to apply various game strategies on the sort of unites that have to construct to take down their enemies. In addition, new strategies have to be employed, as the title's sequel is set to feature some changes, including new units for both the players' allies and foes.

Also, "Halo Wars 2" is set to have a new mode called the Domination mode. In this part of the game play, two players are tasked to explore as many areas in the map as possible. As the mode name suggests, the player who managed to control more areas is the winner.
