'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' Update Available: Details, Changes Made to Matchmaking, UI, & More
In response to the matchmaking issues faced by gamers since the 'Halo: Master Chief Collection' was released, the company has rolled out an update last Thursday to fix the problems.
While the initial launch of the game was welcomed with rave reviews, with some saying that it raised the bar for remastered games, there were also some issues encountered during its release.
Because of the problems when it was launched, 343 Industries have announced they will be rolling out an update to respond to the issues.
In a statement released by 343 Industries on Halo's website on Thursday afternoon, it said that "Our latest content update is live, and is now being rolled out to all regions. If you don't see the update right away, don't fear, as it will arrive shortly."
Included in the update are fixes to the issues in matchmaking performance, gameplay, UI and other title-specific issues.
With regards to matchmaking problems, the update addresses the issues that resulted in a prolonged duration in matchmaking as well as low matchmaking success rates.
It also updated the process by which the matchmaking is relayed to players and increased the number of status updates that a player receives during the matchmaking process.
In addition, the update ensured gamers that the ranking could not be boosted through a custom games exploit. The version compatibility of the game was also improved as well as its accuracy and the stability of the "Game Session Details."
The UI or User Interface of the game was also updated with improvements made to the emblem and nameplate behavior.
The career stats across different profiles were updated to be uniform and the medal inconsistencies across were corrected.
With regards to the Campaign, it was updated to reveal the correct display of rival emblems and 'Halo: CE' career stat tracking was also improved.
Several other updates were made across in different titles in the game including 'Halo: CE', 'Halo 2' and 'Halo 2: Anniversary'.
343 Industries added that there are still more content updates on the way in an effort to further improve players experience in the game, according to Halo's website.
