'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' New Update News: 343 Industries Launches Content Update
Last week, 343 Industries announcted that 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' would be receiving an update on the weekend, introducing improvements to the user interface and the game, the return of the 'Halo 4', as well as Team Hardcore playlists.
'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' is a compilation of all the first-person shooting games in the "Halo" franchise that has been remade for the Xbox One. Since its release, the developers have been hard at work to improve the game and have already made strides in this regard as they released a new update last weekend.
The announcement came from one of the game's developers, 343 Industries, who wrote about the update on their official "Halo" website.
"Our next content update is now targeting a late weekend release in order to conduct additional testing," the statement read. "This content update will include improvements to UI, Matchmaking, game-specific multiplayer items, controls and more."
Not only that but 343 also stated that the "Hale 4" and Team Hardcore playlists are now available via Matchmaking, with the "Halo 2" Classic game types having been included in Team Hardcore.
They also shared that future updates will include the "Halo 3" maps and game types; fan-favorite playlists, such as Team Doubles and Team Snipers; and an objective-only playlist.
"Halo: The Master Chief Collection" was originally released in November, but faced numerous networking issues, so much so that some players found their game almost unplayable, according to Game Spot.
Because of this, the game's developers have been releasing updates and patches to help players and also fix the game, so the upcoming update will hopefully make things smoother and satisfy gamers.
Not only that, but Xbox Live Gold subscribers also found themselves being compensated for the faulty launch.
Those who have availed of the game on or before Dec. 19 last year, found themselves provided with a free extension of one month to their subscriptions. Eligible players will also get more gifts, such as the upcoming "Halo 2 Anniversary" map Relic, the "Halo 3: ODST" campaign, a free and exclusive nameplate and avatar and more.
