'Halo 5' Update: New ‘Guardians’ Image Hints Warzone Firefight, Ghosts of Meridian
Along with Halo 5's new images, details on the "Halo 5: Guardians" Warzone Firefight and "Ghosts of Meridian" have been revealed.
The new images feature a new Warzone map called Skirmish at Darkstar, as per Games Spot. This enables players to battle along with shattered elements of colonial reclamation as the human race make an effort to claim again the world's charred surface. The photo features dark colors, which suggest ominous aura in the game play. It suggests a destroyed realm, where man adapts to survive.
According to Halo Way Point, it has also been revealed that the forthcoming new map would bring an totally new feel to the Warzone experience, along with diverse and unique sightlines, flank routes, and cover pieces that are appealing to players as they explore and engage their characters throughout the map.
With players able to enjoy dodging attacks from patrolling vehicles and launch an attack on their opponents, Skirmish at Darkstar is set to be the new location to bust out their finest REQs and set up the path to victory, as per the publication.
"Halo 5" senior concept artist Josh Kao also indicated his thoughts about the said gaming environment. In a statement (via Halo Way Point), Kao revealed that the team had decided on having a derelict ship in the middle of the map on the mining planet of Meridian.
Kao also mentioned that he had originally thought having a space elevator in the concept, but they had decided against it because there had been already one in the campaign. For the concept artist, he also wanted to capture the mood for a mining planet, with the sunlight peeking through its heavily polluted atmosphere.
Released on Oct. 27, 2015, "Halo 5: Guardians" is developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One home video game console.
