'Halo 5' News Update: Game To Stay On Consoles, Not PC; Score Attack Mode Activated
The latest news on "Halo 5" revealed a new addition to the campaign, which is called the "Score Attack Mode."
In a blog post, campaign engineer Gabe Deyerle, said that one of the things they focused on in "Halo 5" is scoring.
"We're big fans of scoring in past Halo games, and we wanted to bring it back to Halo 5: Guardians, but with a few new twists. We call it: Score Attack," he wrote.
With this, more than 50 medals are up for grabs in Score Attack Mode. Players are encouraged to be creative, as they can earn points by "defeating your foes as stylishly as possible."
He also shared the news about the changes in Legendary All Skulls On on "Halo 5" after feedback from gameplay testers. They decided to make it "a little bit easier" by allowing the player to resuscitate if the Iron skull is still activated.
"It's still pretty brutal (as we think LASO should be) but now there's hope of having a second chance if you go down in a safe location where your allies can get to you," Gabe added.
In other news, Microsoft has admitted that "Halo 5" won't be coming to PC despite director Frank O'Connor saying in October last year about the possibility of the title appearing on PC.
In a statement, a Microsoft spokesperson told PC Gamer, "Our approach is to deliver epic Halo experiences designed for PC gamers and Windows 10, such as Halo Wars 2 and the recently announced Halo 5: Forge. There are no plans to port Halo 5: Guardians to PC."
