'Halo 5': Guardians' Release Date, New Trailer News: Two New Teaser Videos Feature Master Chief & Locke
Master Chief will be returning on October 27 this year and fans have roughly seven months to think about a possible story arc for 'Halo 5: Guardians'.
News broke on the official Twitter page for Xbox when they posted "The Master Chief returns October 27th #HUNTtheTRUTH #Halo5."
This includes new trailers showcasing Locke berating an injured Master Chief on top of some rubble. This gives gaming fans a glimpse of a probable and intriguing plot that's been kept under wraps. Another trailer was released with Master Chief giving the same prophetic speech onto a beaten Locke.
With the new trailers up on YouTube, the fans are worried about characters getting killed off. Another interesting bit of news is a new Tumblr page by a fictional Benjamin Giraud who has posted information on Master Chief including an audio file about his origins. Both trailers have appeared on his page with captions saying "There are 2 sides of every story". The fictional journalist will be logging in every week to post tidbits on the unknown histories of Master Chief.
Microsoft is very good at keeping quiet with the development of their games and shocking the public at unexpected times. It's a good seven months till it will be released in the market for avid Halo fans.
'Halo 4' was released in 2012 with a cooperative campaign where players assume the role of Master Chief. It was played via split screen through Xbox Live. The coop gameplay had various game types which included standard deathmatch, capture the flag and a 16-player war game where the screen can be split into 4 different sections.
