Developer 343 Industries has just released a cinematic trailer of its upcoming first-person shooter video game 'Halo 5: Guardians.' Cinema Blend reports that the trailer boasts the excellent graphics and non-stop gun battles of the game.

According to Latin Post, when the video opens, fans can see Spartan Locke being briefed in a Pelican dropship. Locke, along with his Fireteam Osiris team, learns that there have been Forerunner attacks on five human colonies in recent days.

Although Catherine Halsey has contacted the United Nations Space Command with information on the Forerunner attacks, it is difficult to reach her as she has been captured by Covenant forces.

Edward Buck, played by Nathan Fillion in the trailer, joins Spartan Locke in the Fireteam Osiris. In fact, Buck also featured in 'Halo 3' and 'Halo: Reach,' and is an ex-Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Currently, he's on Locke's team and can be seen throughout the new game.

The report also states that Fireteam Osiris will put himself into dangerous territory in his bid to rescue Halsey. During the rescue mission, the team may face Covenant commander Jul 'Mdama, who may possibly be holding Halsey captive.

After being briefed on their mission, the Fireteam dives out of the Pelican and approaches land without parachutes. While they are gliding toward the ground, they can see other aircraft firing at each other.

While they prepared to arrive on land, the Fireteam ready their weapons, and immediately after they hit the ground, they start firing at enemies. The entire enemy that they can see is either blasted with their guns or punched with their fists.

Locke's final mission is to find the Master Chief, who has turned from a friend to an enemy. Locke needs to find out if the Master Chief will be a traitor forever or if they can join forces.

'Halo 5: Guardians' is set for international release on Oct. 27. Players can pre-order two special editions of the game. While the limited edition comes for $100, the collectors' edition costs $250.
