New details on Microsoft Studios' shooter game "Halo 5: Guardians" have been revealed. Also, the game is set to feature infection multiplayer later this year.

Game Spot was able to capture 343 Industries' live stream for the upcoming role-playing game "Halo 5: Guardians," which can also be viewed through the "Halo" Twitch channel. According to the publication, "Halo 5" features Ghost of Meridian's new maps, Tyrant (Arena) as well as Skirmish at Darkstar (Warzone), along with new weapons and Reqs.

"Halo 5: Guardians - Ghosts of Meridians" featured armors, such as the Dynast armor set and the Mark V Alpha Reflec armor set. In addition, weapons like Song of Peace (uncommon), Razor's Edge and Corpse maker (rare), Grinder (ultra rare), and Tartarus' Gavel (legendary) have been revealed.

In other news, 343 Industries and Microsoft have agreed to add the "Infection" experience to "Halo 5: Guardians" in the coming fall, according to Softpedia. As per the publication, one player is set to play the zombie that needs to move around the map to spread the infection to others. In "Infection," the main audience is set to be comprised of players who are not into competitive playing.

"Ghosts of Meridian" stands as "Halo 5: Guardians'" fifth free update, since the game's release in October 2015. It is the successor to "The Battle of Shadow and Light," "Cartographer's Gift," "Infinity's Armor," and "Hammer Storm." Microsoft and 343 Industries did not release a free update in March, cutting the monthly streak.
