'Half Life 3' Release Date, News: Valve’s Title Gets Winter 2018 Release?
New details on the release date of Valve's "Half Life 3" have surfaced. As per rumors, the title is not yet set to be released either this year or next year.
"Half Life 3" is rumored to be released in 2018, Neurogadget has learned. As per the publication, the title is set to be compatible with the newest Virtual Reality technology or VR technology. It is further revealed that the speculated release date is secondary to the rumor that a third of Valve's total workforce is assigned to develop the highly-anticipated "Half Life" sequel.
According to The News Independent, "Half Life 3" is assumed to be released on December 2018, as part of he 20th anniversary of the release of the first "Half Life" game. As per the publication, the title's rumored compatibility with the VR tech and the volume of people delegated to the game's development mark Valve raising the bar to a higher level.
Valve hardware engineer Alan Yates shared his thoughts about the VR aspect of "Half Life 3." In his comment on a Reddit threat, he said that he had been super fortunate to start at Valve right around the time Michael Abrash had begun the AR/VR research team.
Yates also mentioned that it had been a much smaller team then than it was now, it had since grown to encompass about a third of the company, but the key individuals that had solved most of the really hard technological problems and had facilitated such generation of consumer headsets are still working on the next generation.
Overall, "Half Life 3" is assumed to be released in 2018.
