Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin Split News: 'Iron Man 3' Actress Indicates Regrets?

Not long ago, 'Iron Man 3' actress Gwyneth Paltrow shed some light on the problems she's been having in her marriage to Coldplay singer Chris Martin. Apparently, she felt that they are rushed into their marriage too fast and were "too young" when they got married.

Paltrow told Harper's Bazaar, "Men are very young at that age [25], and I was relying on him very heavily and I really expected him to keep being this grown man and pillar of strength."

Gwyneth Paltrow's "conscious uncoupling" from the Coldplay singer allowed the two to remain friends for the sake of their children. Paltrow believes the break up was the right move, especially since it was done amicably.

Even then, the choice to split wasn't an easy one. "It's painful, it's difficult, it might be easier to say, 'I never want to see you again,' but what good does that do anyone," Paltrow explained.

Less than one year after their divorce, the 47-year-old 'Iron Man' star hinted that she missed her marriage. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar U.K., Paltrow admitted, "Of course, there are times when I think it would have been better if we had stayed married, which is always what your children want."

Paltrow and Martin ended their marriage on friendly terms for the sake of their kids. They solidified their friendship so that they could continue to act as a family. The couple has been photographed dining together and celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with their daughter and son. She said that whenever the two celebrate the holidays as a family, "There's a deep comfort about it because it's so familiar."

Regardless, the actress is proud of the way her split was handled, "I'm proud of us for working through so much stuff together - and not blaming and shaming."
