Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale News: Celebrity Couple Officially Files for Divorce
It seems like many Hollywood couples are going through divorce these days. News shocked people when a statement was released from actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner stating that the two decides to divorce. Then people were even more surprised when The Voice coach Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced that they are divorced and now, another news just came out that another The Voice coach, Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale just filed for Divorce.
Although it may seem quite sudden, the two may have been in the talks for quite a long time now prompting Stefani and Rossdale to also release a joint statement of their filing as well as their desire to co-parent their three children together.
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," the couple said in a statement. "To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
There are no details as mentioned by the estranged couple but reports are claiming that just like Affleck and Garner as well as Shelton and Lambert, Stefani and Rossdale might have suffered from being too much apart because of the demands of their careers.
Stefani is of course busy with her music career as well as her The Voice stint as a coach alongside Shelton and will be opening a new season this coming September 21, 2015 on NBC. Meanwhile, her estranged husband and Bush frontman had been touring as well for his music which led reports to believe that it could have been their work since the two have always spoke of good things for each other in the past.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan for its March issue, Stefani previously said of her Rossdale's relationship, "We go through so much together-it's a miracle that we could stay together this long." She continued, "[Gavin's] on a short tour right now, and he wrote me the sweetest note this morning. It's good to have those days when we both do our own things. I think that's what keeps relationships going, when both people can be themselves and have their own individuality.
"That's especially important for women," Stefani added. "It's hard to find time for yourself."
While Rossdale gushed about his estranged wife as well saying "To be with one person for a very long time actually gets more interesting," he told E! News at The Bling Ring premiere in 2013. "I'm into that. She's a great girl. I'm lucky."
