'Guardians of The Galaxy 2' Plot Details: Director Teases Return of Nebula in Sequel Movie
Here is some good news as well as some bad news regarding James Gunn's forthcoming superhero movie sequel 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2.' First the good news - details about the movie has just come out, but the bad news is that fans will have to wait for at least another two years to watch the movie.
A recent report in the IB Times states that recently Gunn took to the flourishing social media app Periscope to discuss about the upcoming movie. According to Variety, the app is basically a cross between Twitter and Snapchat, which sadly makes it almost useless for keeping records. Nevertheless, it did not stop some discerning fans from availing some news from the director regarding the upcoming sequel.
During the Q&A session, the director revealed very important news and that is Nebula's (Karan Gillan) return to the sequel. Last time when fans saw Nebula was soon after she lost a fight to her sister Gamora (Zoe Saldana). In fact, majority of the antagonists in the original 'Guardians of the Galaxy' did not have a special ending, but Nebula succeeded in escaping the final battle and fled to some unknown place. Hence, fans know that she is somewhere in the galaxy furious at her sister as well as the rest of the Guardians. Moreover, Nebula is hiding from her father, the mad titan Thanos (Josh Brolin), desperately. Earlier, she betrayed her father with the hope that Ronan (Lee Pace), would be able to kill him for her, but the latter doesn't.
In addition to revealing the return of Nebula, Gunn teased further about the new movie. ScreenRant stated that Gunn revealed that he will soon meet the Marvel Studios authorities to write the official first draft of the screenplay.
Gunn revealed, "I turned in my treatment. I'm going in to meet about it Friday and we will start working on the screenplay next week." The director further said that he's already got 70 pages of the script done, in any case as a first draft.
Having revealed so much about the upcoming movie, Gunn now hopes that fans will wait patiently till 2017 for 'Guardians 2.' Meanwhile, Marvel fans will be treated to a series of new movies starting with 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' on May 1.
