'GTA V' PC Release Date: US Gamers to Unlock Game on April 13 at 7:00 PM EST

Rockstar made a very exciting announcement on Friday about the release of the PC edition of Grand Theft Auto V and it will be happening today in some parts of the US.

"GTA V for PC will go live on April 14 at 12:00 AM BST (In the US, this is Monday, April 13, at 7:00 PM ET, 4:00 PM PT)," according to Rockstar's announcement. Many gamers have already received their game copies in advance and were surprised that this includes 7 Discs compared to GTA 4 which had 4 Discs under PC edition.

There is a lot to expect with the PC version especially that the frame rates are greatly different from the PS3 and Xbox. The PC version will support a 4K image resolution and beyond with 60 frames per second. It would only run on a 64-bit, 1080p computer as well while older computers may not have the ability to enjoy the game. Rockstar promises a better online experience which includes the recently released heists that was only available on PS3 and Xbox 360. Players can customize graphic features like adjusting texture for tessellations, reflections, particles, grass, and etc.

Interestingly, an in-game film making feature is now added into this version. The Director Mode has a series of tools and programs to help in movie making by letting users decide which locations, actions and character appearance are needed on a particular story they are creating. There is an option to tweak various environmental aspects of the game as well as the character's mood and scripting. To cap off this mode, Rockstar has also added a video editor where clips can be captured from the gameplay. Users can style the videos under different effects including slow-mo, speed-up, camera shake, vignette, saturation, and contrast.

GTA V has also added more in-game animals after its success on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Lastly, a slew of new songs are added into car radio directory despite the rumored the game getting a Spotify type treatment.
