'GTA V' Online Heists DLC Release Date News: Content Still in the Works, Rockstar 'Working Very Hard'
Rockstar, the developer of 'Grand Theft Auto V', had promised gamers a mulitplayer heists missions DLC quite some time ago. However, since then, the highly-anticipated DLC content has not yet been released.
On Sunday, Rockstar announced that they're going to fulfill their promise soon. Gamers can expect to avail the Heists DLC along with the 1.18 update patch in the upcoming future, says Express of the UK.
"We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of cooperative heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more details in the New Year," Rockstar said on its website.
Although the company did not mention a specific release date, they are considering a 2015 DLC launch.
The original plan had been to release the heists DLC in the spring, but that won't happen. On their Newswire, Rockstar said simply that the online heists were taking longer to develop than anticipated.
They know this disappoints fans, many of whom consider the elaborate heists GTA V's campaign a highlight of the single-player game, so it's no surprise there'd be a huge demand for a multiplayer version. To quote Cinema Blend, "Who wouldn't want to pull off an epic bank robbery with friends in Los Santos?"
