'GTA 6' Release Date Rumors: Rockstar Hints 'GTA VI' 2017 Launch

While 'GTA V' is already geared up and ready to launch in the Fall on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, official statements from Rockstar Games have led many to believe a 'GTA VI' will release in 2017.

Currently, 'GTA 6' is still in its conceptual stage, as developers are unsure which direction.

Rockstar North President Leslie Benzies, said developers have so many choices when it comes to 'GTA 6', "We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do." Benzies said, "We don't know what 'GTA VI' will be, but we've got some ideas."

However, as it stands, 'GTA VI' is not on the Rockstar drawing board, as creators are focused on improving GTA Online at the moment.

Elaborating, Benzines said, "GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing 'V' and then Online. Plus we have some other things - stuff, DLC, I don't know how to describe it exactly -- that we'd like to do, and we'll pick the right ones."

Meanwhile, speculation about the franchise's next location has been boiled down to Paris, New York, London, or Brazil. Also, some believe that 'GTA 6' will take place in Las Vegas, the city of sin.

Fans will just have to wait until Rockstar reveals more details about the highly anticipated sixth installment in the 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise.
