It's been almost three years since the release of "Grand Theft Auto 5." Rockstar has been open about it - they are indeed currently working on the sixth GTA video game.

According to Vine Report, the plans dated back when GTA III and Vice City was still being rolled out on PC's and PlayStation 2s. That is a huge investment of money, time and man power for them to just dump in the trash, so it deserves a second chance from the people who went into sleepless nights just to develop the game for the GTA fans.

There is not other updates regarding GTA 6's release date, characters and where the game will be located. The game is still somewhere in the first phase of their production. Rockstar also have not made any statement about the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto" video game. For now, gamers will just have to enjoy playing GTA 6 online.

The very first GTA game was released in October 1997 which means that they will be celebrating their 30th anniversary next year.
