'GTA 6’ Release Date News, Update, Rumors: Upcoming Installment Will Feature The Largest Maps
"Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6" is set to be the most unique among other "GTA" installments, as players are up against Osama Bin Laden and the latest world events come into play. In line with this, the game is reportedly set to feature the largest map of the "GTA" game franchise.
According to Parent Herald, "Grand Theft Auto 6" is set to feature various events in the game chapters, along with iconic people, such as Bin Laden. Founder of al-Qaeda, the group that claimed liability for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in the United States, Bin Laden's name is also attached to several mass-casualty attacks versus military and civilian targets. Other iconic characters, as well as world events are yet to be revealed.
Aside from Bin Laden and the world events, it is rumored that "GTA 6" is set to show gamers the largest map in the "GTA" franchise. According to Reddit user VermillionDemonFox, the "GTA 6" map is set to be a huge single map that covers all maps from the previous "GTA" game installations.
As per VermillionDemonFox, the San Andreas will be located in the southwest of the map and it will cradle Las Venturas. On the other hand, San Fiero will replace San Francisco in the northern part of San Andreas. Then, at the right of Las Venturas will be Vice City, which is one of the most famous locales in "GTA." Lastly, above Vice City will be Liberty City.
Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser shared his thoughts on using London as one of the bases of the game. In a statement (via Parent Herald), Houser said that it felt like "GTA's" DNA was contemporary-ish, English-speaking-ish, and American-ish, as that was what it had been, though that did not necessarily limit it to those.
"That's just what we've done so far," Houser added.
"GTA 6" is set to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this year.
