'GTA 6' Release Date News: Next Installment To Arrive In 2018 Or 2020; Features World Map?
New details on the release date of Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6" have been revealed. Also, it is revealed that the upcoming game is set to feature the world map.
"GTA 6" is assumed to be released in either 2018 or 2020. According to Neurogadget, the upcoming title could be released in 2018, which is five years following the release of Rockstar Games' "GTA 5." As per the publication, 2018 is still a solid potential release date for the game, since it follows the release trend for "GTA 4" and "GTA 5," which were released in 2008 and 2013, respectively.
Aside from a 2018 release date, it is also speculated that "GTA 6" will be released in 2020. The prime reason behind the rumor is the release of Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Two and it is suggested that "GTA 6" is set to be the first game to be released for the aforementioned consoles.
In other news, it is rumored that Rockstar Games' "GTA 6" would feature the entire world map. However, it is unlikely to be true, according to N4BB. As per the publication, it is a near miss for the game developers to include the whole world map in a single game, but then, it is not far from happening at some point in the future.
With a rumored London setting for "GTA 6," rumors also revealed that the upcoming title is set to feature right-hand drive or RHD vehicles. This is because cars in London are mainly RHD. Whether this is true or not, as well as the impact it has to the gameplay and players are yet to be revealed.
For the time being, Rockstar Games' "GTA 6" is assumed to be released between 2018 to 2020.
