‘GTA 6’ Release Date & Gameplay Rumors: Lead Character Inspired by Ryan Gosling? Launch Likely in 2018
Only a few months back Rockstar Games unveiled the much anticipated Heists DLC to 'Grand Theft Auto 5' online and now fans are excited to get their hands on 'Grand Theft Auto 6,' the next edition of the hugely popular video game.
According to Latin Post, though several fans are eagerly awaiting the release of 'Grand Theft Auto 6,' (also called 'GTA 6'), it may still take a long while before they can actually the latest version. Recently, Vine Report suggested that the new title is likely to be available to the gamers only in 2018.
Rockstar took a long time to release 'GTA 5' in the market. Though the game was first announced in 2011, it was made available only in 2013. Going by this pattern, it appears that Rockstar Games may possibly take another two years before it comes out with an online heists expansion pack, which the company had promised while making the first announcement of 'GTA 6.'
The report stated that considering the incredible gameplay and ideas the developers are incorporating into 'GTA 6' as well as the massive success of its successor 'GTA 5,' it is very likely that Rockstar Games will release the new title in 2018, provided the company aims to top its current title out in the market.
Although the people working on the video game did not withhold the visuals and gameplay details, one thing is certainly missing in all the 'GTA' titles - the presence of a lead female character. However, Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser disclosed that they have thought about including a female lead in previous titles of the video game.
Talking to The Guardian in 2013, Houser said, "In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course," adding, "We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things we always think about."
Meanwhile, there were rumors that Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling was the motivation behind the next lead character of 'GTA 6.' According to Movie Pilot, developers at Rockstar Games designed the lead keeping in view 'The Notebook.'
The website also suggested that the game may possibly return to Vice City in the 1980s for the upcoming title.
