'GTA 5 Redux' Graphics Mod News: Game Set For September Release Date, Even After Being Hacked
Along with talks on the slight delay on Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5: Redux" secondary to a hack, the title is set to have enhanced visuals and it is set to come this month.
"GTA 5: Redux" is set to raise its graphical features to a higher bar, as suggested by Mobi Picker. As per the publication, the mod is set to highlight enhanced blood effects, weather coverage, and listings, in addition to 4K textures. A case in point includes leaves that fall more consistently from trees, along with direct light for the bodies of water.
The publication added that the title is slated for a Sept. 16 release and it is exclusive for Microsoft Windows. It is added that players have to be careful before using a mod and they should review them first before installing them.
Previously, "Redux" mod developer Josh Romito revealed that he has been hacked, which resulted to the delay of the mod's release.
In a statement, as cited by "GTA 5" Cheats, Romito said that his home network and computer had been hacked last week, leading to the "Redux's" compromise. Despite of that, the developer mentioned that things had been secured, though some data had been lost in the process.
Romito reassured that what happened would not prevent the project from being released in any way, as it was only a minor delay. He was poised to reveal that he had multiple external backups of the project and what had been lost would be backed up in no time.
"I appreciate everyone's patience during this unfortunate time," Romito said.
"GTA 5" is Rockstar Games' open world action-adventure video game and the initial prime entry in the "GTA" series, following "GTA 4" in 2008. Set in the South California-based fictional state of San Andreas, the title features a single-player story plot that centers on three criminals and their endeavor to pursue robbery while under steam from a government agency.
Overall, Rockstar Games' "GTA 5: Redux" is assumed to arrive on Sept. 16.
