Although new, the 'GTA 5 Online' for PC release is already a hit on Steam. According to PCGamer, the game has set a new record on Steam for a non-Valve game with more than 300,000 simultaneous users on Wednesday, which was followed by Football Manager 2015 at 56,000 users in fourth place. However, compared to this, the 'Counter-Strike: Global Offensive' had 529,000 users, while 'Dota 2' had a whopping 780,000 users on Thursday. Hence, 'GTA 5 Online' still has a long way to go before it is able to reach those figures.

Another article published by PCGamer claimed that someone has already discovered how to make it functional with Oculus Rift. The VR functionality was facilitated by vorpX, which allows the gamers to play it on their OR.

The same article on PCGamer quotes the game creator Falandorn saying, "[He's] not really into missions and all that, just speeding about shooting people and causing carnage is entertainment enough."
