"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will pick up right where the previous season left off, and it's going to be hilarious.

In an interview during ABC's Television Critics Association press tour party, actress Caterina Scorsone revealed that the upcoming season will pick up where the series left off, but it's going to be funny, since she's "in a somewhat different geometric state."

Last week, the actress announced that she was expecting her second child with Rob Giles, so the baby bump may already be apparent by the time she shoots the same scene for the upcoming season.

Scorsone quipped that since she's not sure if the series would write in her pregnancy, it could be that Amelia simply overdid it with dessert during the wedding reception.

"The cake was fantastic!" she said.

The upcoming series will have at least one episode to start playing hide-the-bump, since Owen and Amelia will be busy off-screen with their wedding night.

"Most of the drama that can be seen on network television is happening elsewhere," shared Scorsone.

The actress also teased that season 13 will feature a big storyline involving Alex and Jo. It can be recalled that in the season 12 finale, their relationship was rocked by the shocking revelation that Jo has been living under a false identity so she could escape her abusive husband.

"It got messy for them, but that's going to become a really multi-layered story that has social and personal overtones," said Scorsone.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 premieres on September 22 on ABC.
