Cliffhangers are the worst thing in the television world and there's no shortage of it in the mid-season finale of 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12.

The tension between Meredith and Amelia heightens as Meredith remains timid and secretive and Amelia gets clingy and insecure. 

Jo and Alex are on the crossroads of break-up and marriage. Tired of her man always siding with Meredith, Jo decides that she needs someone on her corner and breaks up with Alex.

Alex then puts out the fire with a shocking marriage proposal. Jo shows a bit of hesitation and says that Alex sucks at proposing. Alex assures Jo that he is on her side. 

Fans are expressing their support for Jo on social media and many are saying they are tired of Meredith bullying other characters. However, some fans argue by pointing out that Meredith is loyal to people she values including Owen. 

From one love story to another, Jackson and April shared pleasure in bed after a long time -- and later on quarreled about what that sex was all about. April says it was amazing and if ever she and Jackson break-up, she wanted to remember that moment.

Meanwhile, fans are exhilarated over the possibility of romance between Meredith and Nathan, reports International Business Times.

Moreover, some viewers are missing Christina and others are debating whether Owen is better off with Amelia or Christina. 

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is on a mid-season break and will return with "The Sound of Silence" on Feb. 11, 2016.
