The doctor drama 'Grey's Anatomy' has carried its fans through 10 long drama-filled seasons. Once again, we are unable to give up on our strong, sassy characters after the first half of the 11^th season, as Shonda Rhimes sure knows how to create drama! On that note, ABC has released some spoilers for the mid-season premiere.

Two months ago, Derek and Meredith's up-and-down relationship seems to have come to an end. Could Derek's dream job offer be standing in the way of his dream relationship? It seems like Meredith feels that way!

Creator Shonda Rhimes is known for her captivating drama shows after producing Golden Globe-nominated 'How to Get Away with Murder' and soon-returning 'Scandal'. She interviewed with Entertainment to shed some light on the new episodes of 'Grey's Anatomy'.

"It feels very TV for people's marriages to end over easy or hard things," Rhimes explained. "I actually would like to watch a couple have a hard time in their marriage, and have it not be that that means their marriage is over." Could this mean that Derek and Meredith are safe?

Even without relationship drama, Rhimes could not help but add a little fire to the show. The winter premiere will show one of the 'Grey's Anatomy' cast in a huge car crash. Succeeding episodes hint at the outcome of this major scene with titles like "The Great Pretender." There will be sixteen more episodes before Season 11 ends.

'Grey's Anatomy' will return on January 29^th to ABC.
