Greg Plitt Death News: Hollywood Actor George Plitt Jr. Killed by Train in California

Fitness model and reality TV star George Plitt Jr., or more commonly known as Greg Plitt, was found dead after being hit by a train while filming last January 17 in a train station in Burbank, California.

Plitt, 37, was last seen by witnesses holding a camera near the tracks shortly before his death, while a friend of his suggested that he was filming an advertisement for a protein shake. Plitt was declared dead on the spot.

An investigation is now underway according to Burbank Police Sgt. Scott Meadows in an interview with the Associated Press. Police reports have ruled out suicide and have reported that the men who were filming Plitt were safe and not injured at all during the incident.

Plitt has starred in various shows by Bravo Network including "Work Out" and "Friends to Lovers." He had also starred in other Hollywood films like "Terminator Salvation" and "Watchmen" and "The Good Shepherd," while also appearing in 200 fitness magazine covers and modeling for famous brands including Calvin Klein. 

Bravo Network has expressed its sympathies on its Twitter account. "This is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with Greg Plitt's family and friends at this extremely difficult time."

Friends and co-workers described Plitt as a 'fitness legend', while describing his untimely death as "an unbelievable loss for the [fitness] world". Tributes from all around the world have been given since the news of his unexpected death circulated.
