'Greenleaf' Season 3: Tonight's Episode To Feature Gospel Artist Koryn Hawthorne
Gospel artist Koryn Hawthorne is due to make a return appearance on Lionsgate's hit drama series "Greenleaf" tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. Hawthorne's song "Speak the Name" is scheduled to be featured in the episode.
Hawthorne's role in Episode 303 ("Chain of Command") marks the chart-topping artist's second appearance on the show, following her appearance during Season 2, where she gave a debut performance of her chart-topping hit "Won't He Do It."
Written by Hawthorne along with Bernie Herms and Aaron Lindsey, "Speak the Name" is already available on the Official Greenleaf Playlist on Spotify and Apple Music. The Greenleaf Season 3 Soundtrack, also featuring the song, will be available on Lionsgate Music on Sept. 28.
In addition to her appearance on "Greenleaf," Koryn Hawthorne is hitting the road this week on Jonathan McReynolds' "Make Room Tour," kicking off tomorrow, Sept. 6, in Detroit, Mich.
"Greenleaf" is a TV drama series that centers upon the unscrupulous world of the Greenleaf family with scandalous secrets and lies, and their sprawling Memphis megachurch. With its first season airing in 2016, the series third season premiere aired only last week in a two-episode special on Aug. 28 and 29.
Hawthorne released her full-length solo debut album, Unstoppable, in July on Provident Label Group. The ten-track album features the remix of her No. 1 hit single "Won't He Do It," of which the original version was also featured on the Greenleaf Season 2 Soundtrack. "Speak the Name" is also featured on Unstoppable, in a version with additional vocals by acclaimed Christian artist Natalie Grant.
"Speak the Name" is available to stream via the Official Greenleaf Playlist on Spotify and Apple Music here.
