Many fans are in hot anticipation for the full reveal of Warner Bros. DC's 'Justice League' cast, as of right now Green Lantern is the only character not to be confirmed.

Rumors have recently spread about there being two Green Lantern characters, Hal Jordan and John Stewart. While actor Chris Pine has been rumored to be up for the role as Hal, actor Tyrese Gibson has made it no secret that he's putting his bid in for John Stewart.

His Instagram profile has been riddled with fan art of him in costume captioned with quotes from the superhero, however in one of the post he clears up his true intentions with doing this:

"My message to the comic book fans..... I was at home loving my life and relaxing when some fan art like the one in this post popped up on my timeline I was like whoa..... That looks really cool.... So out of innocence I put it up.... And shouted out the artist who locked in the #FanArt it's not about a "Black" superhero it's about the superhero - check the resume folks! I don't need to "campaign" for anything I took the Oath and Im ready to suit up as John Stewart IF it lands this way..... Gibson has more recently posted a picture of fan art featuring him and Chris Pine in costume with the caption:

"Sh-- just got real - #doubleoath #doubletrouble #GreenLantern #WB #VoltronPictures"

While this still may be the actor's wishful thinking, he's surely not being shy about it. Fans are expecting a true reveal of the character's casting at next month's Comic-Con.

Green Lantern's solo film isn't scheduled until 2020, but he will have reoccuring roles in the DC cinematic world.
