‘Gravity Rush 2’ News, Update: Release Date Delayed To Early 2017

The release of Gravity Rush 2 has been moved to early next year to give way to the release of other games with more massive fan base.

The developer of the game recently announced that Gravity Rush 2 will be out in the U.K. and the U.S. on January 20, 2017.  On the official blog of PlayStation, Gravity Rush 2 director Keiichiro Toyama revealed that the deferment of the game's installment was due to the scheduled release of other games with enormous fan base in both countries, which happen to fall in the same timeframe as the initial release schedule of Gravity Rush 2.

The blog also revealed that the game will come with free DLC pack.

Some reports also claim that December holiday is not the perfect time to release Gravity Rush 2 as it is around the same season that Pokemon Sun and Moon, The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV are scheduled to be released. The said games have huge following demographic in both the U.S. and the U.K.

Despite the immense competition that the game will have to go through, Toyama said he is confident that the game will still manage to stay ahead of the pack. He also revealed that it took them four years to develop Gravity Rush 2.

Gravity Rush 2 will serve as a continuation of Kat's story. According to Toyama, the delay in its release will give prospective players more time to dig into the backstory and journey of the character.

More updates on the game and the free DLC will be revealed during the Christmas season.
