Fans may feel bittersweet as "Gravity Falls" ends its Season 2 on Feb 15. The spoiler revealed that we will witness Episode 20 entitled "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls" which depicts a "final showdown" between Dipper, Mabel Pines and Bill Cipher.

Based on the synopsis posted by the IB Times, "Ford discovers Bill's true motives and then a final confrontation with Bill leads to the Pines family's ultimate fate and greatest sacrifice." 

As for the cast and crew, showrunner Alex Hirsch told IGN that they really don't want to end the cartoon series. "Endings are really difficult. Whether it's the ending of a TV show, the last day of school, the ending of a job or a relationship, we don't like endings. Endings are scary."

"I think finales are incredibly hard to write. I'd say the hardest thing to write in television is a pilot, and the second-hardest thing to write is a finale," the creator added.

He also explained the difference between a pilot and a finale. In a pilot, they have to persuade the people to love the new material but in a finale, it will be impossible for the fans to love the creators anymore because something important has been taken away from them.

Hirsch expressed his gratitude towards the fans as well, stating that every fan made artwork that was drawn for "Gravity Falls" is highly appreciated.
