'Grand Theft Auto' TV News: BBC to Develop Documentary on Rockstar Game's Creators

BBC will reportedly air a 90 minute feature on the Houser brothers, the creators of the hit video game franchise 'Grand Theft Auto' and the story of its success.

The special will be apart of an initiative program that will help usher the youths of the UK to increase their digital skills as they suspect the country will have a heavy need for this in the near future.

Dan and Sam Houser took to the stage to accept their Fellowship Award at London's Bafta Game Awards. Heres what they had to say in regards to their video game series:

"Rockstar was founded [in Britain] with a mission statement that video games were the next mass-market entertainment medium, that they were uniquely interesting and powerful. And that we as a company would serve two masters to prove this fact, combining the production values of movies with an obsession of gameplay above all else. Back in 1999, we began shouting this to whoever would listen. A few people laughed at us for our hubris, both in ourselves and in the medium. Most people simply ignored us."

Not much else has been revealed on the upcoming drama but it will be a behind the scenes look at how the Rockstar brand came to be.

However, BBC network has not yet announced a release date for the upcoming feature.
