There are rumors running around saying that "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be released sooner than later. Take-Two Interactive revealed during their earnings call that Rockstar games would be announcing some new projects soon.

According to Trusted Reviews, the announcement might be revealed at Gamescom 2016 this August. However there is no confirmation on this yet. Also, according to Game N Guide, the game might come out sometime in 2018 until 2020. At that time, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two may be already released and who knows just what are the improvements and new features that await its avid fans.

Also, N4BB reported that there is no definite location for the game yet but there are also speculations according to the site saying that the possible locations could be Japan, London and Las Venturas. There will be a female character which will be voiced by Eva Mendez while a male character to be voiced by Ryan Gosling.

It is still not confirmed yet if they are really working on a sixth GTA right now or the producers are still enjoying the earnings that they are getting from the current GTA V. So it would be best to take all of these with a grain of salt.

Grand Theft Auto is an open world action-adventure video game series developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. The very first game was released in 1997 and since then has made a lot of follow up installments in the franchise.
