'Grand Theft Auto 6' Release Date News: Latest Rumors Discredited, Release Date Still Uncertain

It has already been two years since Rockstar Games released the fifth installment of 'Grand Theft Auto' franchise and fans are now eagerly waiting for another sequel of the exciting game series.

According to Christian Today, whether or not Rockstar will roll out 'GTA VI' sometimes soon still remains uncertain and all the news about the game title circulating on the Internet are mere rumors and speculations.

However, there is no denying the fact that 'GTA' fans are currently enjoying the fifth game installment of the action adventure video game series as Rockstar has been providing with regular updates and fixes to the games.

In the meantime, a 'GTA VI' would certainly be a pleasure and there is news that it may be released anytime soon. There are rumors suggesting that a female character will be appearing in the new game. However, a report in iDigitalTimes states that all reports are based on gossips.

For example, one rumor suggests that Eva Mendes would have a voice role in the new game. However, it has been set straight as well and there is no solid evidence to substantiate such a claim.

In addition to the rumor relating to Mendes, Tech4Games reported speculated that Rockstar would have all of U.S. maps incorporated into the new game. On the contrary, MoviePilot reports that it would be difficult to prove this bit of news, as doing so would bring issues to the game.

MoviePilot reported, "Driving from one city to another could be a real chore, especially if it's just filled with country side and nothing much to do in between."

However, commenting on the talks regarding incorporation of the U.S. maps into the game, Rockstar North's president Leslie Benzies said in an interview with Digital Trends, "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas."

According to the report, while it may not have pushed through for 'GTA V,' it may certainly be one of their goals when they think about the next game.

Hence, keeping the success of the 'GTA' series, it appears to be appropriate for Rockstar not to release another new game so soon after 'GTA V.'

Benzies reports that one year would not be enough to develop a fine game. He further stated that the 'GTA' franchise will not be releasing an installment every year for that reason.
