'Grand Theft Auto 5' News: Rapper Daz Dillinger Accuses Rockstar of Stealing Songs / Demands Recall or Pay
For the most part Grand Theft Auto 5 news has been pretty good. The latest news is not so good.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is setting all kinds of sales records. Now Rockstar is experiencing first hand that more money really does mean more problems.
Rapper and producer Daz Dillinger accuses Rocstar of using two of his songs without asking him. TMZ reports that Dillinger issued a cease-and-desist letter telling the video game company to either pay him for the songs or recall GTA 5 and remove them from the soundtrack.
Dillinger's two songs in question "C-Walk" and "Nothing But the Cavi Hit" should earn the rapper a pretty penny from Rockstar. Daz has already refused to accept the $4,271 fee the company tried to compensate him with. Daz is all about the Benjamins.
Daz and his attorney are giving Rockstar a reported 14 days for them to make a decision. Let's face it, Dillinger's going to get paid.
Could you imagine if Rockstar decided to recall Grand Theft Auto 5?
GTA 5 earned the company a reported $800 million the day of release. It's now earned the company over $1 billion.
Rockstar has not commented on the allegations.
