'Gran Turismo 7' Release Date Delay News, Rumors: Franchise Installment Pushed Back to 2017
Numerous fans have waited since 2014 for a game to beat out Gran Turismo 6's graphics and gameplay. However, the franchise creator has explained the delay, saying that they are still in the process of making the title and won't be able to release a new game this year. As it stands, Gran Turismo 7 is projected to be out on the market in 2017.
The upcoming game promises to have improved graphics for Sony's PS4 console. The standard set of cars, which Gran Turismo has been famous for, will remain, but they will be increasing pixelated premium cars to parallel the release of real life premium cars.
Audio quality will also be taken into consideration as well as graphics emphasis on FIA certified international race tracks.
At one point, Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the series, was very optimistic of a release in 2015 or 2016 for PS4, Sony's newest console platform. They had been pegged to release their game trailer for this year's E3 convention in Los Angeles in June.
"Everything will be running naturally," Kazunori said to GamesTM last year, "PS3 was much, much more difficult. The high quality of data that we have being rendered on the PS4, I think, is going to make an incredible difference."
The company wanted "to do everything we couldn't do in GT6," and Kazunori further stated that the game would match the same year we live in, in 2015 or 2016.
Gran Turismo 6 was well-received by many gamers in January 2014. There have been numerous reviews praising its realism with smooth graphics on the cars it offered, and during driving and racing experiences. This game racing evolution has clearly been the product of learning from Polyphony's past mistakes in Gran Turismo 5.
