Grammy Awards 2015 Performers News: Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, & More

The 57th Grammy Awards that will be broadcasting live from Los Angeles' Staples Center have announced some of the performers that will be providing entertainment for the February 8 event.

Pharrell Williams, and British hit maker Sam Smith, and Miranda Lambert were among the artists the Recording Academy announced recently, as reported by CBS News.

Smith is making his first appearance in the awards show. He is in the running for record of the year, song of the year, best pop solo performance, album of the year, best pop vocal album, and best new artist.

The Grammy's have also announced that nine-time Grammy winner John Legend (nominated for best pop solo performance and best rap song) will be teaming up with Common (nominated for best rap collaboration and best rap album) to perform "Glory" from the acclaimed film "Selma," which recently won at the Golden Globes and is also in the running for an Oscar.

Previously announced performers include Ed Sheeran, Madonna, Ariana Grande, Eric Church, and rock legends AC/DC.

Beyonce joins seven-time Grammy winner Williams and Smith leads the list of nominees, with the three artists in the running for six Grammy's each, including album of the year.

All tied with for nominations each are Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, Church, Drake, Beck, Lambert, Sia, Tom Coyne, eight-time Grammy winner Usher (nominated for best R&B performance, best R&B song for "New Flame," and "Good Kisser"), Jay Z, Gordon Goodwin, and Jack White.

The 57th Grammy Awards is produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures for the Recording Academy. Ken Ehrlich is the show's executive producer, while Louis J. Horvitz will be directing.

The biggest celebration of the music industry will be broadcast live, and in high-definition with 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8-11:30 pm on Sunday, February 8.
