'Gotham' Season 2 Cast News: Nicholas D’Agosto Becomes Series Regular as Two Face

In the first season of Fox's show, Gotham, Nicholas D'Agosto was cast in the recurring role of Harvey Dent, also known as Two Face.

Now, the network has decided to make him a regular character in Season Two. D'Agosto announced the good news on his Twitter page.

In the series, which is a prequel to Batman and based on the DC characters, Dent is a smart, charming, and seemingly perfect District Attorney.

The only thing he is interested in doing is ending the crime and corruption that has taken over Gotham City.

One day he will serve as the white knight that Gotham will need to carry it to a crime free state, as the District Attorney of the city.

However, viewers will get a glimpse of the hideous villain that he will become eventually, Two Face.

The main focus of the television show, Gotham, is James Gordon and Bruce Wayne.

Ben McKenzie plays the young James Gordon. The series is executive produced by Bruno Heller, who also developed it.

It is also executive produced by Danny Cannon who directed the series pilot.

The series also intends to tell fans the origins of several Batman villains, in addition to chronicling Gordon's early days as a police officer.

In season one, Gordon and his partner, Harvey Bullock, investigate the murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne.

During his investigation, he meets Bruce, the couple's son, and his meeting with Bruce makes him even more determined to find the killer who orphaned the young Bruce Wayne.

Season two was approved on January 17, 2015, though no premiere dates have been revealed.
