'Gotham' Season 3 Spoilers: New Trailer Shows Jim Will Continue His Crusade?

The first official trailer for "Gotham" season 3 was unveiled during "Gotham's" panel at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, and it was mostly just a recap of some of season 2's biggest scenes.

The video opens with a review of the strange events that took place in the previous season, which is then cut into a hodgepodge of scenes that looks more befitting of a horror film. Thereafter, the video shows the motivations of Bruce for his actions, as well as the personal and professional turmoil of Jim.

The trailer then shows Bruce's philosophy, "you can't kill murder," and then continues with scenes in the season 2 finale, particularly the escape of the experiments of Dr. Strange.

Footage from the upcoming season shows that Jim will continue his crusade. It also shows the horrible incursion of new crazy criminals on the streets of Gotham. The scenes also hint the arrival of the Court of Owls, and that the ominous message "All Will be Judged" is already set to happen.

The final scene in the trailer which is probably the most interesting of all shows Alfred coming face to face with a masked character inside Wayne Manor.

"Gotham" season 3 introduces a new set of major antagonists, including The Court of Owls, Mad Hatter and Solomon Grundy. Its returning cast members include Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Michael Chilis as Captain Nathaniel Barnes, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mzouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Michael Smith as The Riddler and Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox.

"Gotham" returns on September 19 on FOX.
