'Gotham' Season 3 News: James Carpinello Joins Upcoming Season As A Mob Scion
With the recent announcement that actor James Carpinello will take on the role of a mob scion in "Gotham" season 3, the next installment of the series is certainly a must-watch.
The production team behind season 3 recently announced that the 40-year-old actor will play Mario Falcone, the son of mob boss Carmine Falcone. In the series, Mario Falcone's father is at the helm of Gotham's crime syndicates.
In season 1, the head of the mob retired from his iniquitous life and was even shown helping Jim Gordon as he escaped the Blackgate Penitentiary.
In the upcoming season, Mario is portrayed as a changed man, rejecting unlawful acts and choosing to live a righteous life. An Ivy League-educated doctor, he is portrayed as a responsible and compassionate man whose reputation is very different from that of his mob clan.
The description of his character suggests that Mario will have a significant impact on Jim Gordon. It can be remembered that in the final episode of season 2, the commissioner left the town to track down his pregnant fiancée, Lee.
In the source material counterpart of "Gotham" season 3, Mario's character is portrayed differently. The comics describes him as the new head of the Falcone mob, while his brother Albert Falcone is the one who leaves behind his life of crime to study in Oxford and Harvard.
The introduction of Mario's character and how he will affect the other characters are just some of the aspects that viewers of the show should look forward to next season.
"Gotham" season 3 premieres on September 19 on Fox.
