'Gotham' Season 3 News: Ivy Pepper Casted As Poison Ivy; Clare Foley Will Not Return As Pepper?

"Gotham" season 3 has recasted Ivy Pepper, according to reports.

Young Pepper, who is played by Clare Foley, is recasted in "Gotham" season 3," TV Line has learned. According to the publication, the character becomes Poison Ivy, which means that Foley is not set to return as Pepper in the forthcoming third season of the show.

In line with Pepper's recasting, it is revealed that casting is underway for an actress in her late teens and she is set to portray the Poison Ivy's role, who is now a series regular character described as the "would-be eco-terrorist." According to Screen Rant, the change in the character is the reason behind Foley's departure, but it is vague on whether the deeper reason is Poison Ivy as a series regular or the change in the character's appearance.

Along with Poison Ivy, "Gotham" season 3 is set to include Solomon Grundy, the Court of Owls, the Tweedle Brothers, Vicki Vale, and The Mad Hatter. The series' third season is also assumed to see the inclusion of Bruce Wayne's long-haired dopplehanger. The impact of the character on Wayne is yet to be revealed.

Various creatures are also expected to invade Gotham City, according to series development executive producer John Stevens. In his interview with TV Line, he revealed that the nature of Gotham City would change with the release of Strange's bus full of monsters. According to the exec, this portion of the storyline had been kept hidden in "Gotham" season 2.

"Gotham" season 3 is set to air in the fall on FOX.
