'Gotham' Season 3 News: First Look At The Mad Hatter's Lair Revealed
"Gotham" season 3 will see the arrival of new characters, and one of them is the Mad Hatter. Recently, photos of the new villain have been revealed to give "Gotham" fans a glimpse of his lair.
In the "Batman" comics, the Mad Hatter, also known as Jervis Tetch, is a powerful hypnotist who uses Lewis Carroll as inspiration for his tricks. In his quest to find out what happened to his sister Alice, he goes to Gotham to look for her. As a villain, he makes use of high-tech methods to take control of his victims' minds and urge them to do his bidding.
Aside from being a skilled hypnotist, Jervis Tetch is also very disconnected from the real world, making him a huge threat to the Gotham City Police Department.
The photos released recently, courtesy of Zap2it, offer a sneak peek of the villain's hideout. His lair seems to be taken straight from the pages of "Alice in Wonderland," with lots of clock and many other objects such as dolls, dollhouses, bicycles, chess boards and pianos. There are also tea kettles and other things that are usually seen in a tea party.

As "Gotham" season 3 brings more villains to wreak havoc to the entire city, the upcoming series is expected to be darker than ever. Aside from the Mad Hatter, other villains to put Gotham under threat are Poison Ivy and the Court of Owls, which will reportedly be responsible for the battle between good and evil in the city.
"Gotham" season 3 is set to premiere on Sept. 19, 8:00 p.m. on FOX.
