'Gotham' Season 2 Cast, Spoilers: Jim Gordon And Crew To Deal With Four Villains
Fans are set to know more about four antagonists of "Gotham" season 2, according to the latest spoilers.
Penguin, who is played by Robin Lord Taylor, is set to meet his father, who is played by "Batman Returns" actor Paul Reubens in "Gotham" season 2, according to TV Line. Since the series has been dubbed as the "Rise of the Villains," it is assumed that "Gotham" season 2 will mark the appearance of the iconic Batman villains.
Victor Fries, also known as Mr. Freeze in the comics and in the show, is also going to mess the characters' lives in "Gotham" season 2. According to Deadline, Mr. Freeze is known as the Dark Knight's icy villain; he is a former cryogenicist who is capable of freezing whatever he desires.
According to previous reports, Mr. Freeze as Fries was known to be a loving husband for his wife, Nora. His projects were aimed at preserving a living creature through freezing, as Nora was set to die to to a terminal illness. However, people around him did not support his icy projects, which led to his wrath.
Mr. Freeze was caught into an accident, turning him into the icy villain. Now, the characters have to face his chilly powers in "Gotham" episode 12 and 13, "Gotham" executive producer John Stephens told TV Line.
Aside from Penguin, his father, and Mr. Freeze, "Gotham" showrunner Bruno Heller also teased another character in the show's upcoming season 2, Dr. Hugo Strange. Set to be played by "Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic World" actor BD Wong, Strange had a profound effect on Penguin, Heller told TV Guide. The showrunner added that the villain made a new man out of Penguin in many ways.
With Penguin, his father, Mr. Freeze, and Strange, it is assumed that Jim Gordon and his crew are yet to be challenged in the second season of "Gotham."
"Gotham" season 2 is set to return on Feb. 29 on Fox.
