'Gotham' Season 2 News: New Villains Announced via Seven Minute Promo Clip

At this weekend's WonderCon, a screening of the first seven minutes of the next episode of 'Gotham' was shown, which will be set to air on Monday April 13th.

After the screening, the executive producer held a quick Q&A revealing a lot of what we can expect in the next season of the show, which has already been confirmed to be renewed.

John Stephen first spoke on the new villains set to appear, according to Collider. He states:

"We always want to walk the fine line of the reality of our world. Walking right up to that line where super-villains live. So there are a lot of characters from Batman lore that fit that bill. People like Victor Freeze - who's a science villain. You can play a lot of his abilities without going into the world of superheroes."

"Clayface and Mad Hatter are both villains we're going to bring in [as well]. They both have great backstories and great personalities."

He also spoke on the development of Bruce Wayne in the next season. He's appeared to become more hardened during the course of the first season.

"That's one of the fun things we're looking forward to next year. The Bruce Wayne we all know - there's a duality to his persona. There's 'Batman' and there's 'Bruce Wayne'. That fake playboy carefree Bruce Wayne [persona]. In season two, you're going to start to see that 'Bruce Wayne' persona develop as he starts to create a public face to hide who he actually is. So we get to watch that schism take place."
