'Gotham' Season 2 News: Bruce Wayne's Love Interest Casted

Fox's 'Gotham' plans on expanding its cast going into its second season this fall with the introduction of the character Silver St. Cloud.

She will be played by actress Alyn Lind, most notable for her role in 'The Goldbergs' and is described as "an ethereal beauty with the pristine manners of a Gotham debutante," who has "a heart beating with dark intent."

She will also serve as Bruce's love interest/friend, when they realize that they've had similar tragedies befall them.

"Silver introduces Bruce to her uncle Theo Galavan, who just so happens to be a billionaire philanthropist who's running for Mayor. Needless to say, Bruce finds a father figure in Theo, but as for Silver, well, she's described as having a heart beating with dark intent. In other words, she's probably not someone Bruce wants to fall for," writes EW.

This follows the news of The Tigress, Lucius Fox, and more characters being picked up for the upcoming season.

"James Frain (The Tudors, True Blood) has been cast in one of the two new regular roles on the Fox series. He will play billionaire industrialist Theo Galavan. A new Gotham arrival, Galavan is the savior the city has been waiting for - he is sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha (yet to be cast). But behind Galavan's altruism is a centuries-old vendetta. Galavan and Tabitha (aka Tigress) will take chaos and violence to a new level in order to bleed Gotham. Their plan will lead to the creation of new villains... and the destruction of others," writes Deadline.

'Gotham' plans to return to Fox this fall.
