'Gotham' Season 2 Episode 17 Spoilers: Jim Gordon Turns to Edward Nygma And Seeks Help?

Jim Gordon seeks help from an unexpected ally in the 17th episode of "Gotham" season 2.

Synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that Gordon will turn to Edward Nygma as he seeks to clear his reputation, which was tainted after being entangled in a murder case.

Titled "Wrath of the Villains: Into the Woods," episode 17 follows Gordon as he does whatever it takes to clear his name.

"Gordon will get hold of his file case to clear his name in Theo Galavan's murder. But fans will be shocked when they find out that Gordon will turn to Edward Nygma for help since he was the one who framed him in the first place," says the synopsis for the episode.

Trailer for episode 17 also shows the transformation of Nygma into Batman's maniacal enemy The Riddler, from being just an ordinary resident of Gotham City. In the trailer, he is seen strolling into the snowy woods while uttering the riddle, "A nightmare for some, for others a savior I come, my hands cold and bleak, it's the warm hearts they seek."

The trailer also reveals the grief of Oswald Cobblepot following the death of his father, Elijah Van Dahl. Based on the synopsis, a big clash will arise between The Penguin and the Van Dahl family as Oswald finds out about the involvement of his step family in the death of his father.

Episode 17 will also see the return of Barbara Kean after waking up from a coma in the previous episode.

"Gotham" season 2, episode 17 airs on April 11 on FOX.
